Climate Change and Society
I suppose we all like to see wild animals, visit beautiful natural places, such as waterfalls, large forests, beaches, islands, mountains, among several others. Or at least there's something in nature that we love and every time we think of something beautiful, we turn to it. The existence of these animals or places could be at risk due to the acceleration of climate change.
Accelerating
climate change due to the emission of greenhouse gases and aerosols. In
addition to other factors such as the change in land use resulting from human
activity and the climatic variability of each zone, it has influenced the
increase in the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, such as
droughts and heat waves. Becoming a threat to the survival of the different
ecosystems of the earth.
The threat
to these ecosystems not only affects these ecosystems and the species that live
in them, but also society. Because ecosystems generate ecosystem services that
are paramount to the development of society. Among them are the provision of
food and raw materials, temperature control, air and water purification, among
many more.
However,
society does not seem to be very consent about this threat posed by climate
change for the planet and society. Because ecosystems continue to be put at
risk with decisions made day by day, such as population and individuals.
In reaction
to these decisions we have: the destruction of glaciers, installation of mining
in fragile ecosystems; and as individuals: the generation of excessive garbage,
consumerism of unnecessary material goods and the most important, low
responsibility that we have for climate change.
We are the
main players in the solution to this threat and our participation must be
today. As it says Greta Thunberg: the destruction of the planet is happening
today and yesterday, actions must take today.
Personally,
I have been working for several years to be a more consent and concerned person
for the world in the living, which I must take care of and respect so that it
remains alive for many years and for the new generations. What I consider to be
an important point to lead a more sustainable and compatible life with the
cycles of the planet and which must be adopted by society to ensure our own
livelihood.
In this
process I have adapted my food, way of consuming and thinking. Which has not
been a linear and uncomplicated path, obvious. there are times when I have had
to go back to be able to move forward better, but the most important thing I
have learned is that you should not be perfect, you just have to have desire
and perseverance to what you want to reach.
I finally
invite you to read Mariana Matija who is a normal person wanting to share her
vision of the world and who can help to see things that one does not consider.

On the whole, the texts hang out together quite effectively though the issue of lexical choice is still an aspect to improve:
